It was the Friday after Thanksgiving, which they had enjoyed together with their families. Caleb arranged a morning golf round with Taylor, her cousin Jordan, and Jordan’s husband, Justin, before a full afternoon of eating and watching football at Taylor’s aunt and uncle’s home.
They approached the tee box on hole eleven, which just so happens to be conveniently placed in the back yard of Taylor’s aunt and uncle’s house. They waved and said hello to some of the family who had gathered outside to watch the group tee off. Little did Taylor know, Caleb’s family and the remainder of Taylor’s family from out of town were all hunkered down inside waiting for Caleb to pop the question.
After everyone had teed off, Caleb grabbed another ball out of his pocket and told Taylor to take another swing. As she approached the ball, she looked down and saw “will you marry me” written across the ball. She immediately turned around to look at Caleb who had dropped down to one knee and had the ring waiting for her. She of course said yes!
As soon as they could, everyone came out of hiding and congratulated the newly engaged couple. It was a huge surprise and an emotional moment as they hugged their families and closest friends. Having everyone they loved most in the same place to share in the memory was so special and made for an unforgettable day.
